Staff of Parthalan

The Staff of Parthalan is a rare sight indeed. It was lost at sea when its creator, Marcus Parthalan, was lost in a massive storm. It was crafted from Heartwood and is the only known staff to have had an almost sentient nature. No one knows how Parthalan was able to do it and his research was lost with him.

A decade later, a great warrior was said to be carrying the Staff on his back during a bleak battle. No one knows if this is true but many depictions of the battle show him with it.

The staff is about 5 feet long and has one wicked blade at one end and a crystal on the other

STATS:

The Staff of Parthalan acts as a normal Mages Staff with the following:

Quarterstaff (Accuracy to Hit) 1d6+1 (+STR) damage

Deals and extra +2 damage with the Fire Element

Deals the same bonus in damage when used with the Arcane Blast Power

Grants a +1 bonus to Casting Rolls

Grants a +1 bonus to Strength (Intimidation) Tests

Can be flipped and used as a Sword:

Short Sword (Accuracy to Hit) 1d6+2 (+STR) damage

Carries one Rune:

Master Rune of Devastation: Deals 4 points of Penetrating damage on every hit

Has one extra Rune Slot
