During the 1990s, the Department of Residence Life renamed and re-classified the names for the groups of houses that stood adjacent to Avenue I:
- The Valley (c. 1997) [1]
- Four Central (c. 1997) [2]
- Three South/Four Central (c.2001) [3]
- Nine South (c. 2004) [4]
- The Valley (c. 2005)
- The Valley (c. 2006-16)
The four houses were scheduled for demolition during the fall 2014 semester [5] but remained standing past that point. The Department of Residence Life announced Barrett and Parkhill would be unavailable after the spring 2016 semester to prepare the buildings for demolition [6].
