Barrett House

Barrett House

Barrett House was a two-story student residence located at the southeastern corner of Avenue J and Bowers Boulevard.

The building was one of only a few small houses never used for anything other than general student housing. The Department of Residence Life classified this small house as part of various geographic housing groups over the years, most recently the The Valley [2]. The house was last used as a residence during the 2015-16 school year with an occupancy of 46 mixed-gender students.

Barrett and the three surrounding houses were scheduled for demolition during the fall 2014 semester [3]. The Department of Residence Life announced the building would be unavailable for the 2016-17 school year as it would be demolished [4].

It was demolished in July 2016 to make way for the Biology Laboratory Building.
