Dairy Building

The Dairy Building was one of the buildings located at the former Agriculture Center along northbound Interstate 45.

There were two components to the building:

  • The loafing shed provided shelter and grazing space for the cattle transported from the pasture through the tunnel running under I-45

  • The milking parlor, where students milked the cows

SHSU demolished the buildings in the late-1990s because of their deterioration, smell, and nearness to the residential areas on the other side of Robinson Creek [1].
