It all started with one of my parents who wouldn't stop drinking and the person who would drink after the baseball game. He would come home drunk and would be arguing with mom and he also wouldn't care if anything happens. I can say that it's been around me, well I was growing up and seen a lot of people drinking nowadays. The way it had affected my life was not getting attention from one of my parents and would always be left home with my mom and everyone else. Now is just thing that is showed for abuse and don´t know how to stop.
From what I know about Ms.Armstrong is explaining her way of life in Okanagan and also telling us as readers about her own land and people. I feel like Ms.Armstrong is trying to make us readers realize what we Identify ourselves as a human/natives was by explaining the four capacities of self . Also the interaction in our prayers and in the community. Ms. Armstrong has subtitles in each paragraph and gives a fantastic explanation about what she wrote in each paragraph.
The connection I had with this article was by the interaction with what she had in her own community and the prayers in this article as she was talking about. I can also connect with my pueblo of Tesuque by having the same things such as the language and prayers. I can say how she mentions the “Hands of the Spirits”, and how it will relate to our spiritual ways of old life. The respect we have for our mother earth and the spiritual land. She also mention how we all have emotions in our communities,

From what I summarized by Joe Sunia is how he lived his life with his grandmother and had a connection with her as well. Joe had had a difficult time by knowing his language and then having to start going to school, but also having to know english. Also can compare how they both had subtitles in each paragraph and also how they explained in the paragraph too.
The connection I have made with this article is how I’m living with everyone but I know like he said he just lived with his Grandmother. It is just like me when I was young knowing the language and then barely going into school at a young age as Sunia did too. Then it would just all go downhill by me slowly losing my language and getting to know more english.
