Still in the Mood for Something Scary?

Check out Troy Morgan's Review of this middle grades horror series This Town Is Not Already and This Town is a Nightmare.

This Town Is A Nightmare by M. K. KRYS.  This book is about the twins Beacon, Everleigh, and their friend Arthur. They had escaped Driftwood Harbor, a small town ruled by an alien race called the Sov. The Sov had taken control of everyone in that town by injecting them with an antidote that lets humans breathe underwater, but it also makes them behave. Beacon, Everleigh, Arthur, and the twins' dad escaped, and it's been a few weeks. They thought they escaped, but something isn't right. Something is wrong with the twins' dad, and someone, or something, is spying on them, lurking in the shadows. With an alien race after them, someone spying on them, possibly a disastrous storm that will flood the Earth, and something wrong with their dad, there is only one place to end this: Where it all began.

Troy gives this series 5 out of 5 cat paws.

"I like how it reminds me of a one movie I watched a few years ago. A whole alien race after 3 kids and one adult is amazing. I like how it explains how it all began, and introducing new characters to this book.

And he recommends them because he was "looking for a horror book to read since it was almost Halloween, and I came across these two books. They are the best horror books I have ever read in my life."

If you're trying to extend your spookiness after Halloween, you can find this series in the LSMS Library.
