Celebrate

Paging Dr. Cramer

Not long ago Mrs. Cramer, the LSMS orchestra teacher, received her well-earned EdD. To celebrate this, we decided to interview her. Here is what she said:

Us: How does it feel?

Dr. Cramer: "It feels odd and sort of surreal"

Us: Where did you graduate from?

Dr. Cramer: "I graduated from Lindenwood University online"

Us: How long did it take?

Dr. Cramer: "3 1/2 years"

Us: What motivated you?

Dr. Cramer: "I had always wanted to get my EdD. I also wanted to teach at a higher level, and I really enjoy learning and teaching."

Us: What made you love orchestra?

Dr. Cramer: "I had lots of influential teachers and good friends in my orchestra classes."

Us: Why did you choose to be a teacher?

Dr. Cramer: "Again, lots of influential teachers and friends. I also just love kids and love helping people."

As we were interviewing Dr. Cramer, the 8th graders were playing a piece of music and she said her iconic quote, "Low 2 on D.".

Red Ribbon Week

Oct. 23-31, 2023 was Red Ribbon Week for LaSalle Springs students. To celebrate Red Ribbon Week, we had spirit days-

Also on Wednesday, we had an assembly about what drugs do to you and how to prevent others from getting addicted.

Congratulations, Charles!!

8th grader, Charles Simons's piece on "What Inspires You About America?" won 1st place in the Eureka VFW Patriot's Pen Writing Contest for 2023.  His essay will now move on the to the regional competetion.

Congratulations to everyone in our Wildcat Family - LSMS is a National School of Character!!

Throughout last school year, Mr. Gabris led a committee of staff members in completing LaSalle Springs Middle School's application to become a National School of Character.  After months of work highlighting all of the amazing ways we practice and build good character, it was announced that LaSalle Springs did win this prestigious award!

Earlier in November, committee members including Mr. Gabris, Mrs. Kloeppel, Mr. Weber, and Ms. Smith traveled to Washington, D.C. to accept the award on behalf of all of our Wildcats. In sharing the moment with staff, Mrs. Kloeppel emailed from D.C., that she was "sitting here with a heart full of pride for all the hard work our family at LaSalle did to earn this recognition!"  We completely agree!

Enjoy a few pictures from the trip -
