Lock-In
What is it?
The lock In is a school fundraiser that raises money for PTO. By attending it, you are helping get money for charitable causes and school needs. There are many activities that you can do, like karaoke, volleyball, gaga-ball, dancing, eating, and lounging around in the cafeteria with your friends.
How can we make it a better experience?
We asked a handful of students from around the school what we could do as a community to make the lock-in better for everyone attending. Some of their responses were:
showing more of our PRIDE expectations such as having integrity when there is no teacher around,
being respectful to all the people around you
making the incoming 6th graders feel welcome.
A few students also said to be more aware of your actions and your surroundings.
Remember that we should still be using school-appropriate behavior and language, that we show during school hours.
How can you register?
The ticket sales will be through the Membership Toolkit online. Parents can purchase tickets from now until April 1st. After purchasing, you'll also recieve a t-shirt with the lock-in theme and design, and food tickets.
SOUP-er Bowl
The SOUP-er bowl was gathering cans to give to the food drive. Mrs. Danner, Mrs. Kindt, and the NJHS students held the SOUPer bowl. The winners were Mrs. Houchins with 10.7 cans per person, Mrs. Danner with 8.1 cans per student, and Mrs. Smith with 9.6 cans per person LaSalle has been having this food drive for 20 years now and some of the most common foods were Mac and Chees, vegetables, and Ramen. In the past years, they have gotten 1,214 cans and this year they got 1,300 cans.
Book fair
The PTO is holding the annual Scholastic book fair in the Library running through the 4th to the 13th of March. You have an opportunity to shop or browse the books available. You are able to visit the book fair before school, and at conferences. The book fair provides the opportunity to see popular books available, and maybe learn more about them. You can look through the different genres and sections.

"Who are some of the students that are showing their art?" 6th,7th, and 8th-grade pieces that really stood out through the year.
"What kind of art will be in the art show?" All kinds of art!
"What's your favorite part of the art show each year?" Seeing parents being proud of the students.
"Do you think the students are excited to show off their art?" Of course, showing off their art makes them feel special and appreciated.
