Career Fair on March 14!

On March 14th, the 8th graders participated in the Career Fair with a field trip to Wildwood Community College's campus. During their visit, students rotated through 3 different career clusters that each student was the most interested in as a future career field.

Mrs. Cervantes, the 8th grade counselor, started working with the 8th graders during first semester to get them ready for this opportunity. Throughout the afternoon, students were able to hear from people in the careers, ask questions, and start to think more deeply about their future career options.

Solar Eclipse April 8th

April 8th, the solar eclipse will pass over Mexico, the US, and Canada.  This is rare because there will be an overlap with the last solar eclipse 7 years ago, which normally takes 375 years to happen.

On this day, LSMS students will report to their Advisory groups early in order to go outside to watch the eclipse on the field.  All students and staff will be provided with special glasses to protect their vision. Be sure to keep your glasses on the whole time you are outside.  Our science teachers will incorporate a special lesson focusing on the eclipse the week before we get to witness it.
