Transfer Goods between Stores

Overview

At times Bumatech transfers stock from one store to another.  This however still incurs a transport cost.

The transporter still uses the weighbridge to record the weight of the load, this is directly proportional to the transport cost. 

Issue

• Due to the fact that the cost is only around the transport, Bumatech only creates a PO for the transport. 

• The Purchase order supplier will be the haulier on the weighbridge and not the company. 

• The Purchase order only has a transport cost item, this item needs to be updated to reflect the Mass Received. 

• The Order No on the Weighbridge record is the Order No present on the Transport PO. 

• Due to the fact that the product on the Weighbridge is not matching the Transport item on the linked PO, the weighbridge record cannot update the PO. 

Current Work Around

• Set the Company on the Weighbridge to the haulier on the Weighbridge record. 

• Add the product items matching the product on the weighbridge record to the transport purchase order. 

• Add the items at a 0 price, this will not skewer the financials when creating a supplier invoice to the Haulier.
