Recurring transactions are scheduled financial activities that need to be managed and executed regularly, such as monthly subscription payments or periodic bill settlements. These payments occur at predefined intervals but require oversight or manual initiation for execution.
QuickEasy has functionality to flag transactions as recurring to assist in managing required functionality.
To flag and re-use recurring transactions:
Flag the transactions as recurring - In the Ledger, open a transaction, select the tick box in the top right corner labelled as Recurring.
Navigate to Recurring transactions - Head to the Ledger Module and click on Menu > Open Recurring. This displays all your recurring transactions.
Creating new transactions -
Double-click on the recurring transaction you want to use as a template.
A new transaction, mirroring the details of the recurring one, will pop up.
Update any necessary information or modify the transaction as needed.
Once you're ready, save the transaction. It will now reflect the current date and can be processed accordingly.
The newly created transactions will become the new Recurring transaction.
Managing Periodic transactions - Using the date on the recurring transaction, one can determine which transactions are still outstanding.
