Employment Classifications
Employees are classified based on position, certification, and contractual agreements.
These classifications include:
Certified Staff (e.g., teachers, counselors, administrators)
Non-Certified Staff (e.g., paraprofessionals, custodians, clerical)
Full-Time and Part-Time
Leave Replacement or Long-Term Substitute
Exempt and Non-Exempt (as defined by the Fair Labor Standards Act)
New employees are subject to a probationary period as outlined the contract or collective bargaining agreement. During this time, performance and compatibility with district standards are assessed.
