Employment with the Paramus Public School District is “at-will.” This means that the employment relationship may be terminated by either the employee or the District at any time, for any lawful reason, with or without cause, and with or without notice. This at-will employment relationship cannot be modified by any oral statement or implied agreement. Any changes to this at-will employment policy must be made in writing and signed by the Superintendent of Schools. This policy does not alter any contractual rights to which an employee may be entitled.
