Line Doodles

We are going to continue our unit on line as we go further to explore more. Please refresh yourself with week 1 of remote learning where we learned all about lines. Our project this week will be done on a material we usually do not use. Instead of paper, we will be creating our artwork on foil! Those of you who had me in Mrs. Cammarata's pre-k class last year will remember painting foil fish. This time we will be using markers on foil. Permanent markers like sharpies work best for this project. Other markers tend to smear easily.

First you will need to take a piece of foil and put it around something to make your it more firm. This can be on a piece of cardboard, book or even just a magazine. Fold the foil around the edges and put tape to hold it in place.

Now you are ready to make your super long doodling line. Do not just scribble. Make your line a controlled line. Look where you are drawing it - make loops, zip-zags, whatever you would like. I used a black sharpie to make my line but you can use whatever color you would like.

After the marker dries, start coloring in each section. Use as many colors as you want.
