There are lines all around us. Straight, wavy, dotted, short, long...there are so many! Look around you. What do you see?
This week's lesson: Lines
First you should practice drawing different lines. Take a piece of paper and try to draw some of the lines you see below. Now try to draw some lines that you make up from your head. Do not worry if they don't look like the examples. As long as you try your hardest, you are a great artist!
Now you are ready to create your line monster. You will begin by drawing 10 different lines on a piece of paper using a pencil. Each line should go across the paper horizontal (side to side). Then you should trace your lines. The example below is traced with craypas and then each line was painted with watercolors. If you don't have craypas or watercolors you can use what you have at home.
The next step is to turn your beautiful line drawing/painting into a line monster. Cut the top of the paper to create ears and the top of your monster's head. Then add eyes, mouth and teeth with construction paper. Remember your monster can look completely different than mine. Does your monster have rectangular teeth instead? Does your monster only have one eye? Each monster will look unique just like you!
