May 7th & 8th

This week's theme for our Google Meet in Kindergarten was "Butterflies." This is how you should make your butterfly:

First you should decorate a plate - the side we do not eat on. This can be with markers, paint, stickers - whatever you want! Then cut the plate in half to make 2 wings. Put the two halves of the plate together and cut out a triangle from the middle. To make the body, you can use a popsicle stick or simply cut a long oval from white paper. No matter what you use to make the body, you should decorate it and add a face. Then glue the wings to the body and add 2 tentacles. The tentacles could be made from a pipe cleaner or white paper. Make sure you decorate them!

This week's theme for our Google Meet in First Grade was "Frogs." I showed you how to make origami frogs. Origami is the art of folding paper. Below you will see step by step directions how to create your frog. You can also watch the video. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

This week's theme for our Google Meet in Second Grade was "Ladybugs." This is how you should make your ladybug:

Start by making a large leaf from a green piece of paper. Then make your ladybug's body by drawing a circle for the head and an oval for the body. Add 2 eyes - these can be googly eyes or eyes drawn on white paper. Draw 6 legs and 2 antennas on top of the head. To make the wings, cut a red circle in half, add dots and glue on. I bent my wings at the top to make them 3D. Only put glue on the part that you bent.

See you next week!
