Week 9

This week we are going to make "Eye Spy" pictures. These are pictures in which you have to find certain objects that the artist hides. It is like you are playing hide and seek with pictures. Here are some examples. See if you can find all the hidden pictures listed in the big picture.

Now you are going to make your own "Eye Spy" picture. I would like your picture to have at least 10 hidden objects. Of course you can hide as many things as you want. For my example, I decided to draw a playground. You can draw whatever scene you would like. You can draw a bedroom, kitchen, backyard, school - these are just a few ideas. Make sure you start in pencil.

Now I want you to take a separate piece of paper and draw 10 objects that you can put in your picture to hide. These are the 10 objects I drew.

Now draw the same 10 objects in your original picture. Later when you are finished with the project, your family can try to find these things that are hidden. I drew my hidden objects in red and blue so you could see them better. When you draw yours, draw them with a pencil.

Now you should add some other objects in your picture. These will not be the objects people will find. These are just extras. After you draw these extras, color your pictures in!

You can see I added a lot of extra objects in my picture. You do not have to add this many! After you are done with yours, have your family find your hidden objects. Feel free to post your artwork (and any other artwork you want to share) on my Flipgrid from Week 6. You can continue posting there as you create new artwork!
