This week's theme for our Google Meet was "Plants." I thought it would be fun to make a picture showing a cactus. Here are the projects we did:

Kindergarten

Follow the directions below. I drew everything in pencil first and then traced with a black marker. I used a white craypas for the lines in the cactus. White crayon will work as well. I painted mine with watercolors. If you don't have watercolors, you can color your picture in.

First Grade

First you should draw a pot for a cactus plant. Draw a few cacti and either dirt or rocks on the top of your pot. Add flowers wherever you want.

Decorate your pot.

Paint or color your background. Use any colors you want.

Paint or color the cacti green.

Paint or color the pot and flowers.

Second Grade

First draw some hills on the bottom of your paper. Then draw a cactus. Do these lines in pencil first and trace with black marker after. Then you should lightly (in a pencil) draw curved lines for your background.

Erase the curved lines in the cactus and go over the rest in black marker.

Now start filling in the cactus and background with patterns. Think about the Zentangles project we did with all the patterns.

Continue to fill in with more and more patterns.

Then fill in the hills with patterns too.

Now you are ready to paint! Your cactus should be green. The rest of the picture can be any colors you want! If you do not have paint, then color your picture in instead.
