My Dad
By Zeph Michaels.
Named Martin Michaells, Born on 7th of December 1977 my dad lived at Manus island in Papua New Guinea. He has 2 brothers, one of them is adopted by his mother and that includes 6 cousins, 9 nephews, 7 uncles, 7 aunts, 2 grandmothers and 2 grandpas. Let's just say that my Dad's family is really HUGE compared to other average families. As he was raised as a young child hanging out with his well known friends, he got up to a bit of mischief jumping over tall log fences and stealing a RANDOM guys pineapple along with his friends taking one each. The GUY (in a heated rage) began to chase my Dad and his fellow friends with a machete, I’m not KIDDING a literal machete.
His father died at the age of 68 from diabetes in 2014, Martin was about 37 when it happened. In Martins region he lived near a naval base named Longbrum which his Father worked at, on the medical side of things. Martin left Papua New Guinea in 2007 and travelled to Auckland then in 1996 he entered Wairarapa college in Masterton after in 2000 he headed off to Otago University in Dunedin then graduated in 2005. I would say he's a very successful man in my opinion. As Martin grew into a teenager his GOAL and dream was to follow in his fathers footsteps and become a medical lab scientist. He constantly studied the bachelors degree program at his university. In succeeding he started operating at LAB+ a large hospital within Auckland city. He and my mum (her name is Tracey) met at a holiday camp and got married in April 25th 2010 and this part is really funny. He went right up to her and gave her a chocolate gold coin, and knowing that my mum is the MUM she is… she married him.
He and my Mum had me on April 18th 2010 and Dad told me the first thing I looked at, was him. On the date of 19th November 2018 He became a FULL citizen of New Zealand in Auckland city and he was granted an official certificate! It was a day of remembrance. In 15th August 2014 martin decided to quit his current job as a medical lab scientist since in his opinion they paid a low amount of money so he got a new job at Red Crow, a passive fire protection business and he was qualified as one of the main employees, since the guy who was running the business and let him in was a close friend named MJ they met each other at mc Donald's while eating fries.
In September 2020 he made his own personal business titled: MM consulting because his present company that he was working for was falling way down and everybody wanted to get their way so, he quit, also part of his job is to help his clients achieve management system certification (just letting you know). In 2021 Martin was diagnosed with gallbladder stones and he stayed in hospital for about 4 days while being fed with the suitable food for his condition. He was given medicine and then came home on the 4th day he missed me A LOT. He had other injuries including a sprained ankle from indoor Football, A swollen leg from eating too much fish and seafood, a sore back from tripping over a mat on the floor and SO ON, to be honest I hope he's ok.
In 2018 he started playing the Piano, a classical weighted keyed instrument. He loved it so much it became his NUMBER ONE passion he can play a variety of songs and can improvise meaning he can play freely without any type of guidance he also is a very experienced Yoyo player. He knows most of the basics and back in Papua New Guinea he had yoyo challenges with his friends of who could do the COOLEST trick. At the age of 43 In 2020, he bought a new car, the Rav4 Hybrid and the thing is it was actually a decent car, but it broke down during a long car trip to a holiday hotel which took 8 hours and 12 minutes to get there. That's where he encountered John, a very tall Dutch fellow who helped him fix the car. after talking They formed a bond and became friends and, well what a coincidence they both liked technology so that's how their friendship began.
And well... that's my dad, and today he is about 44 right now. HOPE YOU ENJOYED READING.
