Childhood

When she was born in 1926, she had two older sisters. One was 5 years older, and one was 3 years older. She had no devices or screens, so she always made up games with friends. She lived in England, London, and she moved to New Zealand when she was 24 years old.

Adulthood

My Great Grandma Audrey was born in 1926 and live all the way until 2018, so she lived to 92 years old. She loved to read, work on her garden, and help people. Since she liked to help people so much, she later on became a social worker and helped people with their problems. She died in Mangawhai, in my Step Aunts vineyard, and I was also there at the funeral.

Why she was important

92 years is a long time to live, and she was also the first great grandparent I’ve ever actually met. My dad would have gone to a boarding school if she wasn’t there to look after him, and also I obviously wouldn’t have been born.
