Ferdinand and his wife, Emilie
My Great-Great-grandfather Ferdinand Karl was born in Angleröt, Germany.
He was married to Emilie and had left Angelröt in 1898 and went to Storndorf to have a life there. 1898 was the year he started the bakery - Baker Karl. Our family still lives in Storndorf so if it weren‘t for him we wouldn‘t live there. We would most likely still be in Angelröt and he would most likely have had a different profession.
Ferdinand started the family’s bakery. Due to there being a little living area at the top I’m guessing that‘s where he lived at the time. He had kids with Emilie and that was my Great-grandfather who then had my Grandfather and my Grandfather had my mum and her brothers. All of those people were the people to have the bakery passed down to them and you can still get baked stuff from there.
Ferdinand Karl died in Storndorf, the year was unknown for the time being. Without him, the bakery wouldn‘t exist and we wouldn‘t be in Storndorf. I was told he was a very good man. The bakery means a lot to me because it is the foundation of us living in Storndorf, without it a lot of things would be different and I love going in and seeing all the baking happening.
