This text is about my loving grandmother who I miss and love Rest In Peace
Introduction
On the 10th of March 1938 Philomena was born (My Grandma), she was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She was the daughter of Periyapillay (her Mother) and Gnanaprakasam (her Father).
In 1953 she studied at St Antony’s College in Colombo. She studied English medium and knew the 3 languages (Tamil, Singlam and, English).
She loved history, knew a lot about it, and was very good at it. She knew nearly all Sri Lankan history as well as history from other countries.
Since at the time of WW2 there were lots of armies coming in and going out, she moved with others on a ship to Jaffna.
She married Thavagnanam (Grandad) and had 5 daughters and 1 son and of those 5 daughters, the last one was my mum.
I miss you, grandma!
