Biography - Monder Alhiakim
Introduction
Monder Alhiakim was born in 1946 south of Iraq/Basrah his parents are Bebe and Mosam and is my mum's uncle/Maha Alhakim.He is still alive and in his eighties in 2022.
Early life
When Monder was 2-3 he got the illness called Polio, it paralyzed his leg. He couldn't walk anymore. They already gave him a vaccine for polio but it did not work. Despite his disability he was making lots of friends and was very smart. When he was 10 there was an operation to put a metal leg in his leg so he could walk. It was successful. He got bullied a lot at school but he didn't let those people affect him.
Adulthood
In High School he studied and worked hard and went to University and became a pharmacist and helped lots of people. He got married and had kids but his wife died early in his marriage. And his leg got weak so he couldn't hold the metal leg in his leg anymore so he got a wheelchair again. But when anyone needed help he was the one to help them and his kids continued to have kids and he's living happily with them.
Conclusion
He is not retired, he still works for fun and owns a pharmacy.
He will be remembered for how people can be helpful and brave and strong and overcome his disability and how he was happy as any person.
