Teclea nobilis
Teclea nobilis
The Teclea nobilis, also known by its Kikuyu name Munderendu, can span from being a 2 metre shrub to a colossal 18-metre tree, sometimes taller if in the rainforest. It is used not only for its array of medicinal properties, but also to clean wood and even teeth. The Teclea nobilis is uniquely suited for treating pneumonia, specifically by using a deduction from its leaves and roots. It also treats ulcer, fever, inflammation, and others. If not being used for medicinal purposes, this tree does very well on an avenue acting as shade for passerbys, or even for making charcoal.

For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
