Rhus natalensis
Rhus natalensis
The Rhus natalensis has many branches that scramble up to 8 metres in height. In Kenya, every tree in the genus Rhus has edible fruit. These trees are commonly found everywhere in the country besides the driest parts—typically wooded savanna, forest edges, and beside rivers. The leaves, roots, and bark have been useful in folk medicine over the years, but the versatility of this plant doesn’t stop there. It is also frequently harvested for timber, firewood, and toothbrushes.

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.
