I see the Eiffel Tower and a person below it.
What are the subjects in the Artwork?
The subjects are the Eiffel Tower and the person.
What are the Elements of Art used in the Artwork?
The size of the Eiffel Tower is big and the person looks smaller than that. The colour of the Eiffel Tower is red and orange which are warm colours, while the sky used cooler colours like blue.

There is a man at the left side of the front, and there are some buildings at the back.

The Eiffel Tower only has the bottom part of it painted, but took most of the space in the canvas.
Why did you think the artist arranged the subjects in this manner?
It is probably because he wanted to emphasise how the Eiffel Tower looks like up-close, and also maybe comparing the size of the man to the Eiffel Tower.
What do you think the Artist is trying to communicate in the artwork? How does the artwork make you feel?
It makes me feel a sense of pride maybe because the man was standing (with a side profile) beside the Eiffel Tower which was painted beautifully.
How do you think the elements of art were used to convey the Artist's intentions?
The warm colours used to colour the Eiffel Tower depicts it to look majestic.

The Eiffel Tower, because it looks majestic.
Are there any areas such as the title, style, or medium of the artwork that you are unsure and would like to know more?
I would like to know why he uses warm and cold colours together.
What do you like to keep, destroy or replace? Why?
I want to destroy the man because he is irrelevant.
Week 2: Understanding Abstract Art
Sketches - Circles and Bubbles, Pyramids, Organic Folds
Circles and Bubbles
I used a lot of space for the circles, some are small and some are big to show that there could be varying sizes of bubbles. Overall, I made the circles have distorting shapes to fit into each other to provide a sense of unity and harmony.
Sharp Triangles and pyramids
I made the triangles pierce through one another as the lines make the edges look very sharp. I also made them look a bit 3D to show that the movement of the whole piece is messy, and also having some patterns too.
Tentacles and wavy lines
I placed emphasis on some of the wavy lines by drawing circles on them to make them look like tentacles. With the circles on only one side of the line, I also made it look 3D to show that the movement of the piece is both messy and also serene, since I wanted to make the lines entangle each other neatly.
Week 3 and 4: Wire Sculpting Units
The Cuboid, Pyramid and Perfect Sphere
Cuboid wire sculpture
TRY IT !
2 Connecting Units
My Challenges: (30 words)
It is very hard to bend the wires and fit it to the shape I want, and sometimes when I make a mistake with the wiring, the wire does not go back to its shape.
My Strategies to overcome them: (30 words)
My strategy was to be more patient and for example, use a pencil to help me bend the wires, and using my pencil case to press on one part of the wire so that the wire does not move when I bend the other parts of the wire.
