Top of the Building
we made two triangles as the roofs and used thin wire to create waves between the two roofs
'Mouth' of the Building
We used a circle for the mouth and we added thin wire around it to make whiskers
Centre of building

Title of Work:
Year: 2024
Medium: Wire
Dimensions: 10 x 20 x 30
Artist Statement: We wanted to create a futuristic and abstract building. Our initial inspiration was a mushroom house with a round roof, but we created two triangular roofs to make it look more abstract. The roofs looked like cat ears, so we changed the inspiration of our sculpture to a cat. We included movement and shapes in our sculpture. We used stacking to create the sculpture and weaving for certain surfaces to create contrast. Although our sculpture did not turn out as planned, we are satisfied with how it turned out. We have learned to be more creative and adaptable throughout the process.

Mentor's Feedback (to be completed by your teacher)
PRAISE:
You managed to keep the sculpture stable with the relatively smaller cube at the base. Although work steered away from the ideation, other ideas came along the way as you manipulated the wires.
POLISH:
It would benefit you to do some reflections on yourself and group efforts.
