MayDay Protests 2025

The original Mayday protest was in 1971 on May 3. The protest was against the Vietnam War and the communists. This year, in 2025, there was a Mayday protest on May 1. 

There were school walkouts around the United States, ranging from high school students to college students. Countries all over the world stood in protest with the U.S. as well.

How did the walkouts go? Well, in the state of Wisconsin, there were hundreds of students and workers who joined together and marched towards the Capitol. Mayday globally honors labor and workers' rights. In Milwaukee, despite rainy weather, hundreds of students rallied in front of Milwaukee's public schools. They protested for the immigrants being deported, for students' rights, and for the lives of Palestinians. 

This movement fights for the rights and freedoms. How do you feel about the protest?
