Poll: MHS Prom Thoughts

With prom on its way, the Jay’s News Nest wanted to know your thoughts on the dance of the year!

75.7% of those polled said they’re attending prom this year! Out of everyone, 52.6% had attended in the past, and 52.6% of the students polled also said they were seniors (surely a coincidence). 50% said that they put themselves ‘somewhere in the middle’ for spending and reservations, 23.7% said they keep it more lowkey, and 21.2% said they go ALL OUT (they sound like fun people)! Additionally, 52.6% said they just go on the dance floor if their friends are out there, but 28.9% said they’re always the life of the party!

The overall opinions of prom were more divided. 28.6% of people said that prom was super fun, but an equal number of people said it was slightly overrated (but still fun!). 2 people picked ‘other’ and said nothing. Not sure what that means! One person complained about the censored music as well, stating that they understand, but we’re almost adults! What do you think?
