Jumping Jack TagÂ
by: (I found this one many years ago, don't remember where I found it.)
Avoid the taggers and try to collect as many bean bags as you can from your classmates.
Each student starts with a bean bag except for 4 kids who have noodles for tagging. (I have 60+ kids in a class.) On the whistle, the kids try to stay away from the taggers. If a child is tagged, they must stop, drop their beanbag and do 3 QUALITY jumping jacks. While they are doing jumping jacks, other students can come and take their beanbag(s). One child may only take one beanbag from one child at one time. The goal is to collect as many beanbags as you can. But, if you get tagged, you will get swarmed by children who are going to take your beanbags away. After a couple of minutes freeze the kids and find out who has the most beanbags. The taggers exchange their tagger for the beanbags of another person and the game resumes.
Safety Issue is people all bending down to pick up a beanbag and bump heads. Tell the kids to not drop their beanbags directly at their feet. Put them down 1-2 feet in front of them to reduce the chance of bumping heads.
