Students create small groups of 3-4 and will play against the group standing across from each other.

A mat is put in the middle. The teacher starts the game by saying which side goes first.

Opposing teams alternate running and diving on mats to move it closer to their opponent. If the mat is getting crooked or too close to another mat, kids should fix it.

Whoever gets to their mat to their opponent wins!

My students LOVE THIS GAME!! I played it with every grade level when I found it at the end of the year. Safety wise, look before you run because opposing teams can’t run towards each other and dive on the mat at the same time less the crash into each other.
