The original Ghostbuster game by Nick was designed for the student to play by themselves. Jason Leach changed it to a partner activity.
Nick also said that scarves could be used as a substitute for grocery bags, but grocery bags are the ideal choice.
Nick also recommends throwing the ball towards the wall to lessen ball rolling.
I think a beanbag could also work.
I played it! The kids loved it and I had a kindergarten student come up and thank me for such a fun activity.
I had the GIFs up on the TV, but they still needed to be reminded that the kid with the bag should stand closer to the wall because we want to throw the beanbag TOWARDS the wall. You should definitely model it to the younger kids.
I used beanbags to throw. They won't roll all over the place like a ball will.
I told the littles they could also toss their beanbag at the grocery bag too.
My first class put their beanbag in the grocery bag they were using and put it in the laundry basket which made it easier for next classes to get started.
