In Phase 1, we recognise the importance of providing enriching experiences for our pupils beyond the traditional curriculum. That's why we offer a range of exciting enrichment activities designed to ignite curiosity, foster creativity, and develop new skills. From art and music sessions to outdoor adventures and exploratory science experiments, there's something for every child to explore and enjoy. Our enrichment activities are carefully planned to complement classroom learning and provide students with hands-on experiences that deepen their understanding of key concepts. Whether it's planting in our school garden, creating masterpieces, or discovering the wonders of nature during outdoor learning or community participation opportunities, we strive to inspire a lifelong love of learning in every child. With our diverse and engaging enrichment program, including celebrations of events (eg. World Book Day, Red Nose Day) we aim to nurture well-rounded individuals who are eager to explore the world around them and reach their full potential.
We're excited to share that every Thursday afternoon, Phase 1 offers inclusion clubs designed to engage and empower all of our pupils. These clubs provide a welcoming environment where children can explore their interests and develop their communication skills while fostering a sense of belonging. With a diverse range of options including Story Club, Lego/Construction, Mindfulness, Playdough Disco Club, Happyland Club, and Parachute Games, there's something for every pupil to enjoy. These clubs encourage creativity, communication, and confidence-building, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to thrive and shine.
To celebrate and raise money for Red Nose Day, pupils in Phase 1 took part in a sponsored danceathon. They also enjoyed an array of red themed learning activities such as creating a red nose with dyed rice, exploring a 'red' tray and decorating nose biscuits.
