Module 4
Welcome back to module 4! This term, our pupils will explore a rich and meaningful curriculum through highly sensory, hands-on experiences tailored to their individual needs. Through Fairy Tales and poems from other cultures, including animal poems, students will immerse themselves in storytelling using sensory props, textured materials, sound effects and role play to bring narratives to life. In Recycling Materials, they will investigate different textures, shapes and uses of everyday objects, developing early problem-solving skills while learning about caring for our world. Our theme of Celebrating Difference and Belonging will help pupils explore identity and community, including learning about the Jewish faith through hands on experiences linked to a synagogue and Christianity through learning about the church, supported by sensory artefacts, music and symbols. As part of Cold Climates of the World, learners will explore ice, snow textures and contrasting temperatures to build curiosity about different environments. In Storytelling Through Art, pupils will create tactile artwork inspired by the stories they hear, while in Structures and Waterproof, they will experiment with building materials and test how different fabrics and surfaces respond to water. Physical development will be supported through inclusive sports such as Boccia, promoting teamwork and coordination. Finally, in Sound & Music and Film, students will explore rhythm, vibration, light and movement and engaging with instruments,. Throughout the term, learning will focus on exploration, engagement, persistence and discovery, ensuring every child can access, enjoy and succeed in their own unique way.

Module 1
We are excited to begin Module 1 with our new theme, “Who We Are.” This term, children will learn about healthy lifestyles, including balanced diets, and explore the important people in their lives at home and school. We will also be settling into new routines, making the most of our outdoor spaces, and enjoying weekly Forest School sessions to build confidence and curiosity. We look forward to an exciting term of learning.
Our students were busy exploring colors this week! They showed excellent observational skills and concentration while practicing matching colours.
