News on E.I.
We all wish we didn't have so much work to do in E.I. This class should be a place where we have a chance to finish missing work, right? Well it depends on how you look at it.
One of our 8th grade teachers, Mr. Kowaleski, explained that he thinks the format for E.I should not change because he thinks we are getting good learning from doing each of the things every week. He doesn’t think that alternating the programs each week is a bad idea--he just doesn’t think kids would use the extra time wisely.
We also interviewed Mr. Elder, one of our 7th grade teachers. He thinks that the students should be getting their Reading Plus and Map Accelerator finished at home so they can do missing work in class.Â
The last teacher we interviewed was Mr.Weber in the 6th grade hall and said that Map Accelerator and Reading Plus are great ideas for E.I. They all have remotely the same ideas and like E.I how it is. However, not all the students agree.
In conclusion, the DMS E.I classes can be looked at by many different perspectives. Every teacher has a different thought on what to do in E.I. Teachers should listen to the students' perspective on what to do in E.I to make the class a better learning environment.
