How do people feel about AI? Why do they feel this way about AI? Do people think AI should be used in prisons? We interviewed students in the newspaper classroom at DMS and asked these questions on this topic.

Sean Glynn’s Interview:

How do you feel about AI?

Sean: “It was something that can help us or destroy us.”

Why do you feel this way about AI?

Sean: “AI is the key to scientific advancement but it’s not advanced yet.”

Do you think AI should be used in prisons?

Sean: “No, AI doesn't have a reaction.”

Kalani St.Andre’s Interview:

 How do you feel about AI?

Kalani: “I think it’s stupid.”

Why do you feel this way?

Kalani: “It takes the place of humans.”

Do you think AI should be used in prison?

Kalani: “No, absolutely not.”

It stated in the article that we could actually use prison labor. These students seem to think that we should avoid AI in prisons. AI can be very useful, but also hurtful. Someone from the outside might be able to hack in and set prisoners free. This seems to be something that should be looked into more by the government.
