Crazed Killer On The Run

                                                                                                                                                                                                          Danilo Cavalcante:

Over the past 2 weeks, people have been in lockdown in Chester County, Pennsylvania because Danelo Cavalcante escaped from Chester County Prison. Cavalcante escaped on August 31, 2023, by spider-climbing out of the wall at the prison. Danelo was convicted of murder in the first degree, which is the intentional killing of another person on purpose. On August 31 he took the life of his girlfriend in front of their two kids. Cavalcante was on the run for 14 days. While he was trying to escape from the police he was able to break into houses and steal food and supplies to survive. Over the time of his escape, he was being tracked and searched for by dogs and police.

On the final days of his escape attempt, Cavalcnate was finally caught; they spotted him on a thermal camera lying in some bushes. Cavalcante was then chased up a river through bushes in a ravine. Cavalcante then was tackled by a police dog and was bitten on the head by the dog with minor injuries afterward.

After Cavalcante was arrested he was interviewed about the crimes he committed and what he said was shocking. Cavalcante explained that he was robbing houses while people were still up. When a victim was interviewed about the break ins, he told reporters that he was so scared that he locked himself in the bathroom and didn’t care what he took. All he cared about was his life. When Cavalcante was interrogated he said police were 7 feet away from him at times when they were searching for him in the woods. Cavalcante also told police that the day they caught him was good because the next day he was going to steal a car and either go up north to Canada or down south to Mexico.

After those terrifying two weeks and a long chase, he was finally taken into custody and will be charged with fleeing from law enforcement, and for the other crimes he committed on the run to add to his time in prison. We would like to thank law enforcement  for putting a stop to these terrifying 2 weeks for the Chester County civilians.
