C.E Field TripÂ
Addy&Nichole
The C.E. classes in 8th grade were invited on Wednesday last week to the Monument Center for a chance to meet colleges and job opportunities! This was a great trip for students to learn about their future jobs and what they are interested in. The students also got some prizes such as pencils, tinsel, and candy.Â
One of the students that we interviewed, Zana, said she thinks the field trip was perfectly fine how it was set up. She liked how they got prizes and how entertaining it was. She disliked that we didn’t have water considering that we were walking around while it was hot. She also explained that she wished that there was more food but other than that it was fun!
Another student that we interviewed was Lexi, She explained that she liked the idea of the field trip. She liked that they had the food stores open and they were allowed to get some. Another thing she liked about it was that everybody got prizes and got to see some equipment from different jobs. But other than that there were some things that Lexi wished they added, such as more food and more time to do the things their group wanted to do. Â
Overall, this field trip was fun and beneficial to all the students that were there. The students are definitely looking forward to another field trip to learn more about the things that they would like to do when they are older. Douglas Middle School has been honored to be invited to this event.
