A Message from Administration
Good afternoon GSES Community!
We had a great week at GSES! Among other things (that you can read about below), we had our first two days of parent/student lunches in the GSES atrium. Just over 40 families were able to come in and enjoy lunch with their kiddos. We also enjoyed getting to speak with you as you waited for your spot in the queue.
For those of you who joined us for lunch this week, we appreciate how smoothly you helped us make all the transitions. For those of you who will be joining us in the future, Ms. Hannah Freyre will send all of you a message with your specific time slot and table number so that you know where you will sit in advance. We have the area set up café-style with eight high top tables. As students come through the atrium for lunch they will either join you at your table or they will enter the cafeteria with their class, get their lunch, and come back out and join you. Please remain seated at your table and please do not leave the designated eating area. If your student forgets to join you (we had that in a couple of instances this week), please let us know and we will go to the cafeteria and get them for you.
So that we can serve as many students as possible, we ask that if you or someone in your family has already taken the opportunity to eat with your student(s) in October that you not sign up for another day in November or December. We are trying to serve as many individual students as we can in an orderly and safe manner. We saw a lot of smiles and laughter this week at our parent lunches, so please be mindful that we want to allow all students who want the opportunity to do so. Please utilize the link below for November and December lunch times.
Thank you so much for all you do to support our school!
All the best,
Joshua Todd
Principal

SCHOOL SPOTLIGHTS
50th Day Fun!
It's hard to believe we're already 50 days into the school year! We had a great time rockin' and rollin' on October 18th to celebrate our 50th day. Students enjoyed participating in 50th day rotations during specials where they played classic 1950s games, practiced their hula hooping skills, and partied at the sock hop. Many classes participated in 1950s-themed learning activities throughout the day as well. The 50th day was full of fun!
Game On!
Our top school fundraisers from this year's "Game Changers" Fun Run had fun on Friday celebrating their top prize. From Mario Kart to Just Dance and lots of options in between, the Ultimate Mobile Gaming truck was a fun way to celebrate student success!
Red Claw Reward
Red Claw members claimed their Claw of the Month prizes this week for earning the most positive behavior tickets during the month of September. Winning students had the chance to play PBIS Plinko!
Working Hard in Kindergarten
Mrs. Roberts & Mrs. Seiple's kindergarten class has worked hard following school PAWS expectations in the hallway. They earned 50 compliments before the 50th day of school! Students enjoyed a much-deserved special donut treat this week.
