MINDSET WINNERS
We are excited to honor GSES Mindset winners for being “100% Accountable.” Congratulations to 5th grader Bryce Bruce and teacher Mrs. Casey Bray!
Bryce is a highly respectful leader at GSES who is always seen following PAWS expectations. He works diligently to accomplish his goals and is a role model to his peers.
Mrs. Bray always has a positive attitude and is intentional about spreading happiness among our staff. One of this Mindset’s lessons is “Focus your Energy,” and Mrs. Bray does just that by being intentional about building positive relationships with students and staff. Thank you for being examples of what it means to be 100% Accountable!
GSES students and staff enjoyed a visit this week from Literacy Advocate, Kindness Ambassador, and Author Stan Tucker. He shared a message of kindness with students focused on three key points: 1-Treat everyone with kindness and respect; 2- Always give your best effort in everything you do; and 3- Do the right thing, even when no one is looking. A few of our students were big winners with prizes that he gave away during the Read n' Roller game. Tucker also hosts a children's show called The Very Airy Library and has been featured on The Ellen Show. We loved having him visit us at GSES! You can more about him and his mission at https://www.stanleytucker.com/.
This week, Kindergarten students enjoyed a trip to the Aurora Theater for a fun learning experience. They enjoyed a live production of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. (Many students also enjoyed their very first ride on a school bus!)
