MANCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM. On Monday, February 6th, 2023, the Premier League charged the football club, Manchester City, withbreaking multiple financial rules throughout the last nine seasons.
The Premier League claims City supposedly had been breaking the rules for the past 9 seasons. They supposedly didn't give the correct financial information to the league. It is suggested a secret contract was made so that a manager was being paid a lot more than was officially stated.
City told Eurosport "Manchester City FC is surprised by the issuing of these alleged breaches of the Premier League Rules, particularly given the extensive engagement and vast amount of detailed materials that the EPL has been provided with.”
"The club welcomes the review of this matter by an independent Commission, to impartially consider the comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence that exists in support of its position. As such we look forward to this matter being put to rest once and for all."
“In accordance with Premier League Rule W.82.1, the Premier League confirms that it has today referred a number of alleged breaches of the Premier League Rules by Manchester City Football Club (Club) to a Commission under Premier League Rule W.3.4.” The Premier League on their website in a statement.
When UEFA investigated City in the past, Man City always claimed that they had never committed a crime. In February 2020, UEFA banned them from European competition for two years and also fined City €30 million ($33 million).

Emma Pattison and family were found dead near school, at 1:10 GMT. On the night of February 6th, at 1:10 GMT, Emma Pattison, 45, George Pattison, 39, and daughter, Lettie, 7, were found dead by police on school grounds of Epsom College, where their house was located.
It was on February 6th that Emma Pattison and her family were officially pronounced dead, and only on the 8th did investigators find a licensed firearm near the murder site registered under the name “George Pattison.”
Surrey Police say that they believe the deaths were an “Isolated Incident, with no third-party involvement.” The South East Coast Ambulance called Surrey Police over to the scene and police officers arrived at the scene at around 1:10 AM. Apparently Emma made a call to a close relative, concerned about her husband, before both Emma and Lettie were shot to death by George.
Emma Pattison was the first female headmistress of Epsom College, a private school nominated for “Independent School of the Year” on September 2nd. Before working at Epsom College, she spent 6 years at Croydon High School, also in England. Emma was known as “inspiring and creative”, according to her friend, Cheryl Giovannoi, from her Twitter post on February 6th.
Many people believe that the marriage of the Pattisons was not very successful and there were “a lot of miscommunications” for they must have had marital problems. In 2016, a report was brought to the police by Mr. Pattison after he claimed that his wife slapped him across the face, but it was later dismissed because he rejected the idea of continuing the ‘case’ saying he “overreacted”. Not long after, the police arrived at the Pattison household and arrested Mrs. Pattison for only a few hours because she was quickly set free with no charges against her. It soon got around that George hadn’t been showing up to his work, and it was most likely Emma who was supporting the family, according to LBC.
Acting Headmaster, Paul Williams, told parents of the students that “there will be a big impact on the children in the school and they will have to keep a “close eye” on them at all times.”
Epsom College was considered the “Number 1 Private School”, but now people are fearing about the safety of it.
The autopsy results on the family are said to come back somewhere on the same week of their deaths.

Igor Magushev recently died on February 8th days after being shot at close range in his head. Magushev was a Russian army captain as well as mercenary who was killed in occupied Ukraine.
Mangushev was in occupied Luhansk, and had a history fighting in Ukraine. In 2014 he was a founder of a mercenary group. In Luhansk he led an anti-drone unit. Tatyana Mugashevs wife described the murder of her husband as execution.
The well known army captain’s death has sparked massive speculation on who could have committed the crime. He was shot in the Ukrainian town Kadiivka away from the frontline. He was shot by a 9mm bullet from a 45 degree angle into the top of his head at close range according to Russian repots. Investigation on this murder is being handled by Russian authority who are yet to make any statements of the circumstances.
Mangushev was a notorious Russian army captain also well known for being a strong nationalist. In August, Mangushev was recorded saying Russia was at war not with the people of Ukraine. Instead they were at war with the idea of Ukraine being an “anti-Russian state”, and to him the amount of Ukrainians who died did not matter.
Last year he appeared on stage holding a man’s skull in hand. Later he stated the skull belonged to a Ukrainian fighter who was defending the Azovstal steel works in the southern port Mariupol. This is yet another example of the captains personality.
Another extreme Russian nationalist by the name Pavel Gubarev stated everyone knew who was behind the shooting, observing that for the moment Prigozhin had gone quiet.
The world of extremists in Russia has been energized during this 11 month war in Ukraine sparking rivalries between them. Russian expert Mark Galeotti stated after the attack it demonstrated how Russia was sliding back towards the 1990’s, “"when murder was a business tactic, and the lines between politics, business, crime and war became near-meaningless".
