Living in today’s stressful, isolated and disconnected world is tough on our wellbeing. Deprived of companionship, it's easy to go crazy in these circumstances. Incidentally, over the course of this Covid pandemic, animal ownership rates have unprecedentedly increased, as seen in the staggering estimated number of 11.38 million households in the United States alone who have adopted or purchased a new pet. Proven to alleviate some of the stress and loneliness that have emerged from the Corona restrictions, pets provide much needed physical contact and comfort. A lecturer in health sciences at the University of South Australia, Janette Young, has elucidated human-pet relationships as “bridging the physical intimacy and connection gap for many people at this time."
Man’s Best Friend
During this time of quarantine and isolation, sudden lack of companionship proved lethal and a menace to our health, depriving us of our human need for physical contact. Ever since the beginning of mankind, humans have been wired to interact and connect, to rely, communicate, and show support to one another through touch, whether a pat on the back or a hug. The new quarantine restriction has left many of us in a state of touch deprivation, which in fact, has generated emotional and mental health problems for society. Therefore, to fill this void of emotional support, society has turned to dogs and other animals which are in turn delivering a therapeutic effect to us. In a survey of 5,926 people living the UK, approximately 90% owned at least one pet, and 86.5% of pet owners acknowledged that during their first lockdown, their animals became a source of emotional support. An interviewee from Shultz's Guest House Volunteer, MA established, “There’s no disputing that having a puppy in a home, a dog in a home, a pet in a home really brings people together, and they do offer an enormous sense of support."
A Surprise a Day keeps Mental Issues at Bay
As coronavirus proliferates across the globe, billions of people are compelled to work and study at home, and doing so could be challenging at times. Owning pets may present an additional challenge to some, especially to people who don't enjoy pets as much. “It is compared to taking on a full time project that never winds down nor reaches completion,” an interviewee who wishes to remain anonymous claimed. While a pet is indeed added work for the owner, many understand how pets develop responsibility, nurture a sense of fulfillment, and preserve a consistent routine. Importantly, pleasant surprises provided by pets counterbalance the rigid schedule of caring for them, thereby helping preserve mental health during this pandemic when everyday feels exactly like yesterday. Having something to do coupled with something to look forward to keeps a person’s wellbeing intact. In fact, a study concluded that 74% of pet owners said having a pet improved their mental health. "Even when I don't feel like getting out of bed or leaving the house, I know they're depending on me," 29-year-old Courtney Sparkman, dog owner of two miniature poodles in Tulsa, expresses. "It helps me make it through the day."
Treats for Tricks
Without doubt, not only has isolation impacted humanity, but also has taken a hit on our animal friends. Knowing how to care for and entertain our pets is just as important as keeping them physically healthy. Like us, our pets are adjusting to our being home much more, and in the process, are learning about this new and monotonous pandemic-based lifestyle. A few unfamiliar changes they need to adapt to include less physical activity, less opportunities for fellow animal interactions, and compromised medical care due to less frequent veterinary checkups. Keeping our pets entertained and happy is a way we could show our gratitude towards them as they support and comfort without fail. First, teaching them to do tricks not only instills a sense of discipline and excitement in them, but also builds our own patience and perseverance. Also, providing toys such as chewing bones to your pets helps keep them distracted and happy, and in this case, keeps their teeth strong. Lastly, practice your culinary skills on them. Pets are the most appreciative audience, especially when it comes to food! Once in a while, baking treats or cooking homemade pet food boosts their spirits and creates a nice change of pace. For those who have other pets which cannot perform tricks, play with toys nor consume your culinary creations, something as simple as spending time with them, like sitting beside their fish tank, would certainly make these pets feel comforted and loved.
A Vast Array of Pet Options
Dogs are loyal and fiercely protective. Cats are playful and affectionate. Birds live long and keep your mind sharp. Fish are versatile and have a calming effect. Hamsters are self-reliant. Rabbits are social and highly intelligent. The choice of a pet lies in your unique personality. For those who are thinking of getting one, the most humane option is adopting one from a shelter instead of purchasing from a breeder. Many animals previously abused or abandoned by past owners are in need of a new home where they will once again thrive and feel loved. Studies have found that in the US alone, there are around 70 million stray animals and of this statistic, every year, only about 6 to 8 million cats and dogs enter the country’s 3,500 shelters, showing the dire need to adopt rather than shop.
Time-tested
Since the beginning of mankind, the company of animal friends has shown to uplift people's life. As a matter of fact, evidenced by wall art and carvings, dogs were pets to humans as early as the Predynastic Period of Egypt (approx. 6000-3150 BCE). Even today, pets remain a key to not only adapt but very well thrive in these difficult times.

What’s a Coup?
In the midst of a global pandemic, on February 1, 2021, Myanmar experienced a military coup, as the military took over the country. The military removed the civilian government, charging government officials with election fraud. The military accused the NLD party of using illegal walkie-talkies to spread misinformation that may have caused fear and resulted in election fraud.
Misinformation of Covid
Many citizens of Myanmar have responded to the coup by protesting. On February 3, doctors and hospital staff quit in protest, and on February 5, teachers quit in protest as well. All of this is occurring in the middle of a health crisis, which has caused the military to reduce the amount of Covid testing. On February 8, only 1987 tests were conducted, the lowest number since December 29, 2020. In contrast, the average amount of tests conducted the week before was 9000, and the number of tests conducted just one day before the coup was 17,000 . As the coup progressed, the average number of tests conducted has stayed around around 9350.
Ruining the Economy
The military coup is clearly an alarming issue, as Myanmar is experiencing one of the worst Coronavirus outbreaks, and the global economy has already suffered by 4.4%, which is the worst since the Great Depression. The Coronavirus has already limited shoppers and tourism, and has increased unemployment. The side effects of this pandemic are obvious and are increasing. This coup is not helping the situation; instead it is increasing violence, Covid cases, and ruining the economy.
Other Countries Response
Many countries have responded to the coup. The Biden administration stated that they would add unspecified sanctions on the country. The UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, said that the coup, "represents a serious blow to democratic reforms in Myanmar.” And Prime Minister Boris Johnson of Britain said that the, “vote of the people must be respected and civilian leaders released.”
The coup in Myanmar has caused misinformation about Covid, which will increase the aftermath of the pandemic, making is so much harder for the citizens of Myanmar to return to life as normal. All we can hope for is that the coup ends soon.
The Downsides of Online Learning, and How Focusing Is a Problem

Most students in ISM will agree with that COVID 19 has caused a drastic upheaval in many of our lives. The pandemic has officially been around for over a year at this point, and many countries around the world have been placed in lockdown in order to reduce the spread of this disease. Now unable to attend school physically, students have been introduced to online learning as a solution to this issue. Using computer software, predominantly Zoom, students gained the ability to learn remotely from the comfort of their own homes. In one glance, distance learning appeared to have many benefits such as being able to interact with family more often, and not needing to wake up very early, as one would be saving on commuting time. However, as time went on, online learning, unlike what we had initially thought, has brought in new challenges for us students to tackle, for example, focusing in class.
Distractions and Its Effects
One of the main hindrances that keep students from focusing in class are the many distractions that come with the needed device. Yang Yang, a fellow student from ISM claims that what makes online learning more difficult are the “easy distractions that you can get away with, "whether they are in the same device, or in a different one. With the lack of supervision, not much can be done to get you back on track when you are off task, would you not agree? It makes it a lot easier for students to switch to other tabs that grab more of their attention compared to studying. Some examples of the distractions that claim our focus, are social media, chatting, video games, etc. Environmental distractions can also be a hindrance to our concentration. There can be pets, family members, and an entire orchestra of noise that can be heard throughout a school day at home. Because of this, a student’s efficiency when dealing with classwork may decrease as well. That results in more stress, anxiety, and some students even having go to the depths of sacrificing their own sleep later on during the day, in order to get their work done.
Eliminating Distractions
Of course, that does not mean that the issue cannot be resolved. The first solution is to eliminate the things that keep students from focusing, which are the distractions. Many survey respondents had similar, viable methods to remain on track; smartphones, which are a considerable disturbance to teenagers of this age, should generally be kept out of sight during lesson time. Students can also keep track of incomplete assignments in an organized to-do list that they can finish during a specific work time during the day. In order to keep away from environmental distractions, as mentioned before, students may also continue lessons in their room or any other private, or quiet area where they can the noise and other distractions from disturbing them. Another recommendation is to take short breaks by catching some shut-eye, or having a simple walk outside. Taking a break can provide a refreshing break and an opportunity to reflect a bit more, which will help with concentration when studying.
Making the Best of Distance Learning
Without a teacher observing us from the back, with the introduction of online learning, focusing in class has become a large hurdle for everyone to overcome. For many students, online learning has affected performance in school. After all, there is a wide range of negative effects that slacking in class may have on wellbeing, both physically and mentally. Some examples may be stress due to the accumulated amounts of schoolwork, sleep deprivation, and much more. But then again, there are just as many solutions to stay focused amid the pandemic. Keeping distractions at bay and writing down a list of the incomplete assignments, for example, are all effective strategies that can be used to maximize our concentration and can generally make students feel more secure and in control during distance learning.

Chess, a 64-square board game that was previously famous for being a boring game played with your grandpa, is now booming in popularity as more and more people are playing on the internet. Many users have registered on chess websites such as chess.com and lichess and the 1,500 year old board game . Since March 2020, chess.com has gained over 12.2 million users with 50 million users total, and in March and April, the player base in lichess.org doubled over the space of weeks.
The Pandemic
The pandemic is definitely one big contributing factor that spiked up the popularity of chess. In March 2020, most of the world was confined to their homes, and consequently almost the entire world was on the internet. Instead of mindlessly scrolling through social media or playing video games, chess was a perfect alternative that was not only fun to play but also great for exercising your brain. It teaches you to problem solve, make plans, and other important lessons about life.
The Queen’s Gambit
In October of 2020, “The Queen’s Gambit” was released and immediately became a huge hit on Netflix, with over 62 million households having watched it. Since The Queen’s Gambit premiere, eBay has reported a 215% increase in sales of chess sets and accessories, and after the first 3 weeks of its debut, sales of chess books leaped by 603%. Those are some big numbers. “The way they were able to take something that I don’t particularly care for and make me watch these games with so much excitement and intensity was riveting.” - Nerd Soup. This quote shows how movies like these help change people’s perception of the game and motivate them to play it. This explains the surge in popularity, as well as the high amount of female players who joined chess.com (since the protagonist was female in the movie).
Content Creators & Streamers
Due to the lack of sports being played on television, people streaming online chess on platforms such as Twitch and YouTube have gained lots of views. The “Chess” category on twitch is almost always in the top 20 categories, with Hikaru, GothamChess, and GMNaroditsky, who show people what is going on inside a master’s head. Famous content creators like MrBeast, HighDistortion, and even Joe Biden have started playing chess, which motivates their followers to also start playing chess. People who played chess before but not now also started playing chess because of all the hype; “I saw that chess was becoming a bit popular so I decided to play again” - Anonymous.
The spike in chess popularity in the pandemic has resulted in many people registering for online chess websites, buying chess sets, and even bringing back players who used to play chess.
This graph shows the significant increase in lichess's player base.

During the Coronavirus pandemic scientist have claimed that teens mental health is going down for being in quarantine for so long. With the disease spreading like wildfire health workers suggest people stay quarantined in their homes, do social distancing try not visiting family and friends. But staying locked up in your house also has affects on teens mental and social health. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, 4 in 10 adults in the United States have reported anxiety or depressive disorder symptoms during the pandemic. The restrictions of the pandemic have been felt across the board. For teenagers, restrictions have meant months of virtual learning, more time isolated from friends, and the canceling of important social activities like sports, school performances, graduations, and proms. All these restrictions have made teens isolate and stay to themselves, people’s friendships are also being damaged because of quarantining at home, people may not stay in touch with each other which primarily makes the other person lose interests in the person damaging the friendship they had.
“When kids are depressed, we try to engage them so they don’t stay in and isolate. We call it behavioural activation,” said Shatkin a 36 year old woman, living in the US. (it shows how social interaction helps with people's mental health, because of Covid their are lockdowns and quarantines which does not allow teens to socalise making their mental health worse. Some teens depend on their friends to help them with their mental stress, their friends support them and try to help them but with lockdown and social distancing it’s hard to support your friends causing their mental and social health to go down.
Parents may have avoided seeking health care for their adolescents due to stay-at-home orders and may continue to do so because they are afraid of getting sick with COVID-19. This includes important well-child visits and their therapist.School closures have impacted many adolescents’ ability to receive mental health, speech therapy.

It was exciting when the school announced they were closing back in March, 2020. Nobody knew how the new virus would keep us home a long year later.
Unlike the first two weeks of an unexpected break, as time went on students found themselves losing connection between their friends and families. They needed to find new ways to meet online and socialize like before. A twelve year old attending the International School Manila conducted a survey to find how students in her school, and others worldwide have made ways to talk to one another now that it's been over a year since they have seen each other.
I have found many ways to connect with my friends across the world, but I was curious on how others in my school have been doing. I questioned five students in my grade on this topic , and the answers were shocking. “I haven't talked to my friends since we left school. Honestly it’s more awkward talking to a blank profile. I’d rather wait until we get back to school,” said one interviewed seventh grader.
Increase in Cases Increases Students' Fears
The pandemic has continued for over a year now, and transmissions of cases have increased. Hopes of the reopening of schools have vanished. Instead, students themselves predict to keep up with the online classes for at least another year. “It’s devastating and hard, but what can we do about it?” stated one student. “I don't know, but I might leave the school and move to a place where I can study offline and make friends,” said another student. Several students are facing problems in getting proper education, and most importantly connecting with their friends and family through the virus has been a problem. So how have these people solved this problem?
A Huge Change in Communication
To research the question, “How have students been connecting through the continuously impacting virus?” this reporter decided to compare the difference of socializing apps and websites usage worldwide and the International School Manila seventh grade community. Based on the Kubco “Top 27
Social Media Apps for Your 2021 Strategy” article, the student collected shocking data of media apps usage worldwide. I was just shocked about this data! 540 million people use Facebook, 503 million on instagram, 477 million on zoom and 404 million on messenger! At fist glance, I immediately saw how common the apps our school community used with the others worldwide! When I had interviewed my friends a couple of weeks ago, I collected answers that were fairly similar to the data above. Out of the five students 100% used messenger, 100% used zoom, 80% used instagram and 50% used facebook. This data was very alarming to me.
This reporter found the similarities between her friends and the other millions of media users, but what most surprised her was the increase of popularity in the app “Zoom”. “There is not a single person that I know who doesn't use Zoom. Zoom is a must for a time like this where we do everything online, but what I discovered was even more shocking. Data shows that just a couple of years back in 2019, there was an average of 10 million zoom users. Now, there are more than 450 million users! That's about an increase of 45 times the users in just two years. Looking at this it was clear how the pandemic has made and found new ways to communicate with one another in such a short amount of time,” said Amy.
More Ways of Communication
Relying on social media as a way of the only form of communication was never to be thought of even just a couple of months ago. But now, it has come to a time where our daily life would not be possible without this kind of app usage. This situation has brought new creative ideas to students who hope to develop different ways to strengthen the online community that they are included in.
“Some of the International Schools students have even been considering creating their own media apps or services, to help continue this online program for as many people as possible. Times are hard, but I have been very thankful of the opportunity to meet and collaborate with my peers in different ways, and I hope this way of communication can develop more in the future,” reports journalist Amy Lee.

A young girl takes a boat to school as waves splash around her. Her uniform is drenched with water as if she had just dived into a pool. She remembers a time when she could walk around her neighborhood, running through the streets. As she passes a court submerged in water and a church covered with greenish moss, thoughts of what life once was grows in her mind.
The scene looks like something out of the movie Waterworld The once normal coastal village of Sitio Pariahan, an island 17km north of Manila, is now without land. Its streets are covered with water, and huts raised on stilts litter the landscape. On many days, a deep well is the only source of water. It is used to drink, bathe, clean, and cook. For electricity, solar panels lay on the roofs of many houses. Residents pass the time by watching television or gambling when power is low.
Since 2003, the province of Bulacan, where Sitio Pariahan is located, has sunk four to six centimeters each year. According to Fernando Siringan, a climate change expert, this was caused largely by land subsidence from the population’s overuse of groundwater and rising sea levels caused by global warming.
A Destructive Typhoon
Much of the damage happened in 2011 when Typhoon Nesat struck the village. Danica Martinez, a resident of Sitio Pariahan, remembers waves as big as houses engulfing huts and pulling them deep into the depths of the sea. As she and her siblings gripped onto bamboo poles to avoid being swept away, her school was destroyed. It was left an empty shell of its former self, with only its walls standing. After the event, more than 50 families left the village, and only 40 remained. Those who left never returned.
Life in the Village
Residents remember that life wasn’t always like this. Basketball tournaments, grand feasts, performances, and masses were once held in the village. Now, much of the structures that housed those events are completely submerged in water.
Saturnino Espiritu, another resident of Sitio Pariahan, fondly remembers a time when he could walk to the nearby church. However, he has been pushed to use a boat. “Masses are now being held with churchgoers on their boats,” he said. “The altar gets splashed by the waves. You can see oysters growing on our church grounds already.”
“It seems scary to look at, but you get used to living like this,” said Danica. “It’s difficult, but also fun.” Like many others in the village, much of her daily life also relies on a boat. Her mother, Mary Jane Martinez, sells crabs caught by her husband in the town market. Despite life getting harder each day in Sitio Pariahan, Mary Jane and her family prefer the village to inland. “If you work hard here, you will survive. You only have to jump on the sea to catch food. Inland, you can work hard and still not have enough.” To Domingo, Mary Jane’s husband, leaving is not an option. There would simply be nowhere to go.
Airport Causes Change
As the construction of a new airport begins, life in Sitio Pariahan will change once more. In 2016, San Miguel Holdings Corporation (SMHC), submitted a proposal to the Department of Transportation (DOTr). At the center of this proposal was the plan to build a new airport, called the New Manila International Airport. This airport would be built in areas of villages like Sitio Pariahan. This has evidently had consequences.
Amid the Coronavirus, the personnel of San Miguel Corporation has pressured residents of Sitio Pariahan and other neighboring villages to self-demolish their own houses. This has led to the displacement of plenty of residents, with little to no options for them to survive. Now, many residents of Sitio Pariahan are scattered across the Philippines, having lost their homes and livelihoods.
Rising sea levels, floods, typhoons, land subsidence, and industrialization have brought on waves of change for those in Sitio Pariahan. They have had to adapt by building their houses on stilts and using boats to get around. Industrialization has also caused many residents of the village to lose their homes. Under these waves of change, residents’ lives have been drastically altered, as they have lost their homes with little to no options to survive.

Have you wondered about what laws Biden has made and what he has done with the laws Trump made? Since his first day in office, Biden has made a couple new rules, including some that reverse Donald Trump's.
Rejoining The World Health Organization
Biden is directing the government to rejoin the World Health Organization, which Donald Trump withdrew from earlier this year after accusing it of incompetence and bowing to Chinese pressure over the coronavirus. Which is Something that The President has brought Back. This Is significant because the United states needs to be Included with the world's health especially with Covid-19 The U.S needs to be included because It is important for all countries to help each other and this isn't happening with leaving the World Health Organization
Ending the Muslim Ban
Biden is also ending what is variously known as the “travel ban” or the “Muslim ban,” one of the first acts of the Trump administration. Trump in January 2017 banned foreign nationals from seven mostly Muslim countries from entry into the country. This is important because the muslims rom there country might not have the resources needed to survive so they come to america. This shows that Biden cares about global issues not just U.S issues.
Taking Down Trump’s Wall
Biden is immediately ending the national emergency that Trump declared on the border in February 2018 to divert billions of dollars from the Defense Department to wall construction. He also is halting construction to review contracts and how wall money might be redirected. This means he is taking down the wall that donald trump has spent billions on. And will cost more billions to take down. This was significant because Instead of helping money for Covid he decided to take down the wall. This shows that Biden does Care about fixing Donald Trump's mistakes.
Biden Has already changed a lot of Trump's laws. And this shows that He is able to think about other things not just Covid-19.

Fortnite, Among us, Minecraft, and COD, are all familiar to you? These are all video games and they're all pretty well know to teenagers especially now when we are staying at home locked onto our devices. Ask yourself how much time you spend playing video games. The recommended time a teen should play video games is 1 - 2 hours a day, does this sound like you? Well if it is then you're a good spot, and if you are above then you should look into this.
Why you should not play video games.
People who play video games longer than the recommended amount have been reported to have a larger intake of food, meaning that the more you play the more you eat. When you eat a lot you are prone to heart attacks, strokes, obesity, and other diseases. This is a problem because if you get a heart attack or stroke the outcome could be fatal.
Why you should play video games.
Now that we are stuck at home video games are a way to connect with friends. Moreover, video games improve communication and connection with other people. these connections can help you learn more about your friends and the gaming career. Also, It can help your brain process thoughts faster and logical thinking. When you play video games you always need to think fast and solve your problems.
Meet in the middle.
Even Though playing video games is fun and a good way to connect you don’t want to sit there for the rest of the day and play, you should balance your time playing video games and the time reading a book, playing outside, talking to your friends or family, and doing school work.

In Florida last week, 7 year old boy Joseph Patterson was discovered after a day of his disappearance. Brandon Mclean, who was the one who found him in the woods near the neighborhoods, and was thanked by Joseph’s parents. Before that, the two were in a state of total distress. They had spent hours searching for their child, and were considering the extent of calling the police, and also handing out flyers.
“It was just after school when he and his friends went out to play outside, but after a while a parent of one of Joseph’s friends called me, saying that Joseph had disappeared,” said the mother. Joseph’s friends explained that they were playing tag with each other, but Joseph was nowhere in sight by the time the game ended.
According to Joseph after he was rescued, he claims that in the spur of the moment, he ran outside of the boundaries to hide away from the others, and got lost in the process. Joseph was then found by Brandon, and later the town officials decided to cordon off the outer parts of the forest, to prevent any incident like this from happening again.

On February 14, 2021, at 3:33 pm in the afternoon, a shower of over 1 million roses fell from the sky in the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, leaving the French citizens and tourists in astonishment.
Bystanders at the time of this event suddenly smelled the scent of roses and many caught the moment in an image. Although known to be the city of love, this event was a first in Paris’ history. However, due to the pandemic, only around 100 people were able to witness this rare event.
“It was as though someone sprayed the whole city with a giant rose air freshener”, 24 year old Willow Young, who was one of the few present at the time of the rose shower, illustrated.
Researchers as of today are still investigating the cause of this rose shower. Some argue this was a planned scheme and others believe it was simply a Valentine’s Day miracle.

Last Wednesday, the Christian International School in Taguig announced their new rule banning all technology usage not relating to educational purposes. “We have been concerned about the dangerous world of social media, and we want to keep our students safe at least while in school,” said the principal of the school.
Students of this school seem to be unhappy with this new rule, and conflict between the students and teachers has happened as the students have disagreed to follow this rule. “It isn't fair! We aren’t even in class. Why are they so overprotective?!” said one seventh grader. Other nearby private schools have been thinking of implementing this new rule, and students in the city aren't very happy about it.

On February 13, Edward Smith created a technology device completely made out of recycled materials in his home.
Edward Smith, is an 83-year-old inventor, living in Austin, Texas. He recently discovered a way to save our planet using recycled materials when making phones, computers, iPads, and more. This occurred when he was sorting through his recycled trash and gathered some materials, and experimented until it powered up, working just like the iPhone 10x.
“I was digging through my trash and found some very interesting materials. An idea popped into my mind and I quickly brought the items into my check and got to work," said Edward. This iPhone is completely made out of plastic, cardboard, glass, and wires, and still works perfectly well.

Recently, Dobby the elf was seen roaming around a local McDonald's by a 24 year old, ironically named Harry. Dobby is well known from the wizarding world of Harry Potter. When asked what he was doing, Dobby said, “Dobby was looking for Harry Potter, but Dobby has found the wrong Harry.” According to Harry, he was “just taking out the trash” when the disturbance occurred.
Dobby was looking for Harry Potter because the Malfoy family, Dobby’s masters, treated Dobby like “vermin.” Dobby was freed from the Malfoy family by the ‘real’ Harry Potter when Harry helped Dobby escape inside a sock. “Master has given Dobby a sock. Dobby is a free elf!”
Dobby returned home to the wizarding world to reunite with Potter as his master, while the ‘fake’ Harry continues to work in Mcdonald’s.

On February 10, a 6-year old Marian boy named Mark reported to have witnessed a black hole collision right in front of his eyes on a roller coaster at a fun fair in Argon, a Martian City.
“I was dazzled and felt like I was in a dream, but soon realized the full danger of what was happening. I quickly got my Mars shield and it put it on top of my head as they collided, sending the force of gravity to Earth."
The 6 year old Martian expressed gratitude that he had his Mars shield right next to him at all times. This observation by just a 6-year old Martian has changed the future for scientists around the world. Mars scientists all over the world commented on this feat. “The black hole collision being witnessed can help us develop better shields and products on Mars, so we can protect ourselves from obnoxious Earthlings."

On February 28, 2021, at 13:24 EST, Grey’s Anatomy show runner, Krista Vernoff, publicly announced during a press conference over zoom that Season 17 will be the finale season of Grey’s Anatomy.
Krista Vernoff explained that the show will be cancelled due to ABC’s budget cuts and focus on newer TV shows. Grey’s Anatomy star, Ellen Pompeo, was conflicted about this message as she once considered leaving the show a few years back. In the show, her character, Meredith Grey, is currently sick with coronavirus, and some say this is a possible ending to a 15-year running show and could be an indication of the show’s ending.
“I’ve been in Grey’s Anatomy for over 15 years acting as Dr. Miranda Bailey and I just can’t imagine leaving my Grey’s Anatomy family”, Chandra Wilson, one of the longest cast members since the first episode, voiced.
Grey’s Anatomy cast announced they will be holding a Q&A on March 1st to address this situation to watchers. This show has created a huge impact on their audience and addressed a diverse array of deep topics such as mental health issues, PTSD, gun violence, COVID-19 pandemic and much more. Their retirement will be a sensitive topic in today’s society.
A Grey’s Anatomy fan Riley Morin, commented, “Watching Grey’s Anatomy since 2005 has been my solace and granted me knowledge on the world outside my perspective. I owe all my achievements and character development to them. If this is really the end, thank you Grey’s Anatomy, you truly change my life and a few millions too.”
