Ever since school has closed down, students have been using distance learning. A big part of that is Zoom. This begs the question, should Zoom be used every lesson? If we have a zoom session for every lesson, then students won’t be off task and could ask questions whenever they want. That’s why there should be a zoom session for every lesson.
To not be too time-consuming, the Zoom conference should just be 5-10 minutes a class to just clarify what to do in that lesson. Many people are either scared to ask questions to the teacher or are replying to the question too late, so it would be easier to just ask at the zoom session. If there is a Zoom session at the start of every class, most students would be on task and would not have to complete the work as homework or tutorials. Zoom sessions can also help teachers see what their students have been doing and to see if they’re caught up with the rest of the class.
Having a zoom session every lesson would require more self-management skills from students, which could improve their time management and that can help students excel rather than have unfinished work and put additional stress on students.
If there is a zoom session every lesson, teachers should reduce work by a little amount, and could spread the work out to more lessons so that every student wouldn’t be too stressed with work for each lesson.
In conclusion, since students will be on task, easily be able to ask questions and increase their self-management, clearly, we should have a zoom session every class.
Recently world changed-school changed learning- new thing Zoom- what Zoom is- its different-... then thesis.
Despite helping students (HOW) and making them be attentive, Zoom shouldn’t be used every class since it decreases student independence and results in students using their timeless wisely.
Zoom being not being used every class would also not let the students do what they want to and not let them understand the assignment and not build their ability. Whereas if there was a Zoom meeting every class then it would be uncomfortable for the student and the teacher. This Zoom meeting would also waste a lot of time and would give advantages to many if they cannot attend the meeting. Also, if the students miss the meeting they should at least get the work done, and if they miss the meeting the student would have so much more time to work on the task. Considering that many students at ISM or overseas, this would cause a major disadvantage to those.
If there was a zoom meeting every lesson it would lower the self-management grade of many students. But whereas if they are not in a zoom meeting every day it would boost their self-management grade.
The staff at ISM have discovered EdPuzzle which would be more helpful since it is mandatory for the students to watch this video, which the teacher assigns and have to answer questions;. This method gives teachers a bigger advantage than if they would have a Zoom meeting every lesson.
I would say it would help the teachers and the students if they had a Zoom session every first class of the week, where it is mandatory for the students to attend. This is just to see if the students are inline and coordinating with the teacher’s assignments and also just to check-in. This strategy would help our teachers and students by not adding stress, after their mind gobbling about the global pandemic and the lockdown.
Not having a Zoom session would also help the teachers use their 15-minute break-time since they wouldn’t have to spend it all in making a Zoom session.
Considering all the disadvantages of using a zoom session every class, clearly, we shouldn’t use a zoom every class.
