Cardiff Partnership for Initial Teacher Education
The Cardiff Partnership for Initial Teacher Education comprises Cardiff Metropolitan University, three of Wales’s regional consortia (including EAS), the University of Oxford, Cardiff University and City of Cardiff Council together with hundreds of partner schools.
In the process of educating student teachers, the partnership creates resources informed by research and practical experience.
The Partnership’s professional learning YouTube channel is a means of sharing with the wider education community, and includes research webinars, examples of the very best student teacher research, and resources relating to the new Curriculum for Wales.

National Masters in Education
MA Education (Wales) is a pan-Wales Masters course run in collaboration across the 7 HEIs. Across the HEIs there are 350 funded places for practitioners who have between 3-6 years of experience and a further 150 places for practitioners working in partnership schools.

To apply for a place on the course at Cardiff Met, you will need to include the following (links can be found on the self-sevice portal):
- Evidence QTS;
- Reference from Head Teacher or other relevant senior colleague/manager, on headed paper;
- RPL request form (even if you are not willing to transfer credits, please read RPL policy prior to completion)
- If you are applying for funding:
- - Supplementary Application Form. Please upload this document as 'MA Education Application' on self-service; and
- - Proof of Residency in Wales Form and evidence. Please upload this document as 'Proof of address' on self-service.
