An exciting opportunity for Practising Teaching Assistants:
The Practising Teaching Assistant Programme is for teaching assistants who have been in post for at least two years and who would welcome an update on the changing context of the profession.

The Aspiring HLTA Programme isupports the most experienced Teaching Assistants who wish to further develop their skills and identify their readiness for HLTA Assessment.
It is a 4-day programme delivered over 2 – 3 terms and examines the Professional Standards for Assisting Teaching in depth. The programme also explores the crucial role of Teaching Assistants in supporting pupils and schools.
Upon successful completion of this programme, teaching assistants are in a very strong position to identify their readiness for HLTA assessment.

Getting Pupils Learning Not Doing
A programme for HLTAs and TAs that will support them in evaluating and improving the quality of learning. The programme will support staff who are leading and advancing the learning of whole classes, through sharing what good learning looks like and how to effectively plan, lead, and assess learners. The programme is accompanied by a range of practical guidance and resources to support HLTAs and TAs in their roles.
