NQT Professional Learning
Welcome to the profession! Working as an NQT on Supply or based in one of the EAS Schools enables you to access a range of professional learning to support you on your journey through induction.
Welcome to the profession! Working as an NQT on Supply or based in one of the EAS Schools enables you to access a range of professional learning to support you on your journey through induction.
Professional learning for NQTs for the academic year 2024/25 will be a hybrid offer online via Microsoft Teams and in person . There is a National PL Offer consisting of 2 sessions online followed by 3 in person days at EAS schools in the Autumn Term. The national offer is then followed by a local bespoke professional learning offer in Spring 2025. The 2 day local NQT and early career teacher live practice offer will allow NQTs to select from a menu of live practice sessions to suit their own development needs. A recording of each online national module will be made available for NQTs that are unable to attend.

There is a National PL offer for Induction Mentors for 2024/25 that includes a briefing about the induction process and the Induction mentor development programme. This will support with all aspects of the role while developing coaching and mentoring skills . Dates can be found on the EAS PL offer and below, all sessions take place in the National Induction Mentor Team.

Induction Validator information
All schools now have the opportunity to train Induction Validators. If you have an experienced member of staff that would like to support NQTs across the region please complete the form below to register details and contact Hannah.Fancourt@sewaleseas.org.uk so your EWC account can be set up and access to professional learning provided.
