We are so excited to be back for another school year at Riverview! Even though the first few days came with some extra heat, our students and staff brought even more energy—sharing summer adventures, reconnecting with friends, and filling the hallways with joy and laughter once again.

It was wonderful to meet so many of our new and returning families at our Welcome Back evening on Monday. Thank you for helping us kick off the year with such a strong sense of community.

We are also excited to welcome Mrs. Jenna Devine, our new Learning Support Teacher! She will be supporting students alongside Ms. Katelynn Sullivan, our Family Support Liaison. We’re thrilled to have such a dedicated team working with our Raiders this year.

Athletics season is already gearing up! Tryouts begin next week:

Gr 8/9 Boys Volleyball – Wednesday, Sept. 3 & Thursday, Sept. 4, 2:45–4:15 pm
Jr. High Girls Volleyball – Wednesday, Sept. 3 & Thursday, Sept. 4, 4:15–5:30 pm
Gr. 5–9 Cross Country – Thursday, Sept. 4, 2:45–3:30 pm

Emergency Response

Over the course of the year, we will begin practicing our Emergency Response protocols. All schools across the Black Gold School Division participate in the same protocols and it is important that we practice these throughout the year so our school community is ready to respond should we need to.
