The week seems to fly by when there are so many exciting things happening around the school! End of the year field trips, exams, activities, and projects are bursting in every classroom!
This week we had the opportunity to celebrate our Grade 9 students who are ending their time at Riverview Middle School. We celebrated their farewell this week with a field trip to Activate and Gateway Lanes, along with a Morning Ceremony. We are incredibly proud of you all! Thank you to all of our guests for your attendance and celebrating and supporting our grade 9's.
Gr 6-8 families - An email was sent out this week about 2025-2026 CTF Courses. If you did not receive the email, please email rms@gshare.blackgold.ca
Between June 16-19, students will be selecting their top course choices for Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 (running from September 2025 to the end of January 2026). Each student will take two different options per term, for a total of four courses over the first half of the year. To help your child prepare, we encourage you to review the list of available courses together and discuss which options are of most interest.
Be sure to review the PAT/Final Exam schedule below. It is important that students arrive before 8:45am for their exams. Check out the link in Mrs. Kehoe's section below about preparing for exams. There is still time to prepare - mentally and physically - for the end of the year.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
~Mr Pedersen & Ms Kruse

So hard to believe, but the year is winding down and finals are next week! I've included an graphic below that cues us of what is in our control, and what is not. As pressure mounts for some, it's a good reminder. I am also including a link HERE with some good tips on how to get down to the business of studying, and not procrastinate. Don't forget: a quiet study space free of your phone and one NOT sitting in the middle of your bed, is a great start. Good luck, Raiders, you've got this!
