Spring break brought a wave of excitement back to the halls, with students and staff eagerly sharing stories of their time spent with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors, or simply catching up on some well-deserved rest.
This week, our Beginner and Intermediate Band students took the stage at the Leduc Music Festival, receiving both praise and valuable feedback from the adjudicators—a fantastic experience as they prepare for Band Camp next week. Term 3 CTF options have wrapped up, and students will begin their new classes on Monday. With the start of new options, updated fees will appear on PowerSchool; we kindly ask families to ensure all fees are paid by April 24. These fees allow us to purchase necessary equipment and materials for the classes to run properly.
As the temperatures rise, we’re thrilled to see signs of spring all around—scooters and bikes arriving at school, birds singing, and everyone heading outside for recess once again. As you do a little spring cleaning, consider setting aside any unwanted electronics—even broken ones—for our upcoming collection bin, which will be at the school on April 23.
Best of luck to our Grade 5/6 boys floor hockey team as they compete in the BGSD tournament in Leduc this weekend!

Sure is wonderful to see spring has SPRUNG! Not that I have a McDonald's side recruiting job, but it was passed along to me that April 29th is STUDENT HIRING Day at McDonald's. It specifically mentions Jr. High kids. If you're interested or know a teen who is, pass it along. I hear there is a note posted at McDonald's for more information.
