It was a hot week at school, but our students stayed busy with several special events. Today, our Grade 5/6 classes attended the Canada Wide Science Fair at the Expo Center in Edmonton. Thank you to our teachers and parent volunteers for helping them explore science in such an engaging way. Many of our students also spent the day attending the Rodeo of Smiles in Leduc! What a great opportunity for our Raiders!

In athletics, our Junior High students competed at the LDAA track meet this past Tuesday and achieved amazing results. Congratulations to the students who qualified to move on to Zones on June 2. On Friday, June 5, Riverview is hosting the BGSD Elementary Track Feet hosting approximately 1200 athletes!! We are still looking for volunteers to help with various aspects of this event - including the Concession. Please let us know if you are available to volunteer for this huge event!

Our Jr High beginner and intermediate bands were busy performing at our school-wide assembly yesterday and at Robina Baker school earlier today. Thank you Ms. Steenwinkel and our band students for their committment this year! It is fantastic watching their dedication to building their musical craft and share their skills with us. The RMS & JMHS band will be hosting a concert at JMHS on Tuesday, June 2 at 6pm if you are able to attend.

As we enter the final weeks of the school year, please stay focused and work hard preparing for your upcoming year-end exams. See the information below regarding exams.

School Fees!

BG Technology fees, CTF fees and field trip fees if applicable are on your parent PowerSchool portal. It is impossible to run our CTF/Field Trips without the fees. We appreciate your attention to this!

Quarter 4 fees are due now!

Please reach out to our office staff if you would like to set up a payment plan for your fees. Breaking the payments up over the school year can allow you to pay your fees without the stress of paying everything all at once.

Gr 6 & 9 PAT and Final Exam Dates

For all exams listed below, exams will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. We ask that all students arrive at school at regular time (8:05am) to ensure they are able to properly login to digital platforms and are prepared for a 9:00 AM start. Students must stay in the examination room until 11:00 AM (except Math Pt A). For the Grade 7-9 exams starting Tuesday, June 9, if Jr High students wish to leave after their exam, a permission form needs to be signed on Power School (this will become available next week). If students wish to stay in the afternoon, a Study Hall space will be provided.
